Finance Health Report ("us", "we", or "our") operates the financehealthreport.com website and app (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of data when you use the Service.
Your Financial Data Is Confidential By Design
Every number you enter into the app (income, debts, balances, goals) is processed entirely in your own browser and is never transmitted to us, to Stripe, or to any other party. There is no server that ever receives it, so there is nothing to train a model on, share with a third party, or retain, because we never have it in the first place.
Definitions
- Service: the website and app operated by us.
- Personal Data: data about a living individual who can be identified from that data.
- App Data: every figure you enter into the app (income, expenses, debts, balances, goals, and any other input). App Data is stored only in your browser's local storage and is never transmitted to us.
- Order Data: your Order ID and purchased tier, the only information about a purchase that is ever sent to our servers, solely to verify that a purchase was completed.
- Usage Data: data collected automatically from visiting the marketing website, such as pages viewed and browser type.
- Data Controller: for the purpose of this Privacy Policy, we are a Data Controller of your Personal Data.
Information Collection and Use
We collect the following types of information:
- App Data: everything you enter into the app is stored only in your own browser's local storage. It is never sent to us and we have no access to it, no exceptions.
- Order Data: your Order ID and tier, sent once to verify your purchase against Stripe when you unlock the app.
- Personal Data: your name, email, and payment details, collected directly by Stripe during checkout. We receive only confirmation that a purchase was completed and which tier was purchased. No card details ever reach us.
- Usage Data: standard, privacy-respecting web analytics on the marketing site (this page and the pages around it) to understand aggregate traffic. The app itself carries no analytics of any kind.
Use of Data
We use the collected data for these purposes:
- To verify a purchase and grant access to the corresponding tier of the app
- To respond to support requests submitted through our contact form or by email
- To understand aggregate traffic to the marketing website so we can improve it
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues
We do not use any data for marketing profiling, and we do not sell any Personal Data, App Data, or Order Data to third parties.
Where Your Data Lives
Everything you enter into the app is stored using your browser's local storage, on your own device. Clearing your browser's site data for financehealthreport.com will permanently delete it; we cannot recover it for you, because we never had a copy.
Retention of Data
We do not retain App Data at all; it never reaches us. Order Data (your Order ID and tier) and Personal Data (name, email, order records held by Stripe) are retained as needed for order history, support, and legal or tax compliance. Usage Data is retained only as long as necessary for traffic analysis.
Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal basis for collecting and using your Personal Data is that we need to perform a contract with you (delivering the Service you purchased), you have given us permission to do so by placing your order, or the processing is in our legitimate interests and not overridden by your rights.
Transfer of Data
Your Personal Data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Your purchase represents your agreement to that transfer. Your App Data is never transferred anywhere, because it never leaves your device.
Disclosure of Data
We may disclose Personal Data in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend our rights or property, or prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service. There is no App Data in our possession to disclose.
Security of Data
The security of your data is important to us, but no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. That said, App Data carries no transmission risk at all, since it is never sent anywhere.
Your Data Protection Rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
If you are a resident of the EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or request a copy of your Personal Data at any time by contacting us. We may ask you to verify your identity before responding to such requests. App Data can be deleted at any time, by you, simply by clearing your browser's site data.
Payment Processing & Service Providers
Purchases are processed by Stripe; Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy, not this one. If you contact us through our contact form, we may use Resend to deliver our reply. These providers have access to your Personal Data only as needed to perform these services and are obligated not to use it for other purposes.
Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date above.
